Well, it is "Searching For Stars" again... But this time, Searching For Stars is going to bring you something NEW in 2010...

Board Games Challenge (Accomplished)

This is another challenge yet fun game organized under English Language Club.
Held on the 6th of August, at DPP Tradewind.

The event is a Scrabble and Chess competition.
Scrabble and Chess?!
How can the 2 games be played together?
So here are the details about the board games competition...
The game is played by a team consist of 3 players, that is 2 players will be playing for Scrabble and 1 player playing for Chess. There will be 12 teams competing in this event.

They will be divided into 3 groups, for each win in every game, the players will contribute 3 points to the team, for every draw, they will contribute 1 point to the team, and for every loss, they will have no point.

The team with the highest points in every group will advance to the final group. The team with the highest points in the final group will be the champion, followed by 1st runner-up and 2nd runner-up.

For Scrabble, it is a 1 hour game. Each team will be given 1 minute to create a word. If failed to do so, their turn will be forfeited. The team with the highest scores in each game is the winner. For Chess, it is a 1 hour game. Each player is give 30 minutes in every game.

Illustrated below are the table of teams which will be competing among each other to the final... Final will be played by the winner that is able to score the highest mark from each of their group, meaning group A, group B and group C..

And of course, the group that win in the final win the champion, following 1st runner up and 2nd runner up.
