Just Write

Yo ! This is another event that is organized by the English Language Club (ELC) of University Utara Malaysia, the "Just Write Competition"! Different from the other writing competition, "Just Write" offers you the freedom to write anything you want to express. How?

Just attach a photo or picture and write an essay, an article or anything related to the attachment in between 250 to 300 words. If you are good in poem, why not? You may include anything you like as long as it is in English.

HOW TO REGISTER?

Participants are required to make their registration at Foyer of Faculty of Accountancy, from 8th August 2010 to 12th August 2010, by paying RM3 as the registration fee.

SUBMISSION PROCEDURE

Participants must send their essays via email before 20^th August 2010 to elc.uum@gmail.com. The email is sent in a very simple format, an empty email, with an attachment of your product, using the name "JUST WRITE_matric number". The writing material and the abstract should be attached to the email. The essay summited will be checked and marked by our club advisor and experienced lecturer from the Language Centre who have a strong English background.

RESULTS

The results will be announced 2 weeks after the closing date of registration, on the 3rd of September 2010. Participants are required to check their results at elc-uum.blogspot.com. The top 8 essays will be published on the blog itself as a complement for their good writing skills.

PRIZES

Champion : RM200,

1st Runner Up: RM100

2nd Runner up: RM50

4th to 8th: Consolation Prizes

Students who participate in JUST WRITE COMPETITION will be given sira, certificate, a mini notebook and a pen.
